
Geraldine has had a successful career in music as a composer, performer and
record producer. From the late 1970's to the late 1980's she was a member of
the rock group "Pulling Faces" and a director of Keystone Recording
Studios. During this period, apart from her work with the band, she was recording
artists as diverse as Sting and Derek Bell and much more in between. She also
worked with her husband restoring the Claddagh Records Spoken Arts collection.
She began painting in 1989 and studied under various tutors between 1989 and
1994. These included John Brobbel and John Higgins. From 1995 to 1998 she attended
Dun Laoghaire College of Art. In 2000 she was studying life drawing, painting
and screen printing under Paul Brooks, again at Dun Laoghaire and The Black
Church. From 1998 to 2002 she attended N.C.A.D under Trevor Geoghan and Eithne
Carr. She also took workshops and classes with Rayleen Clancy and Michael Campbell
at Lismore Art Centre. She has studied ceramic sculpture and wood carving under
Cathy Taylor at Trinity College and Ken Drew and Michael Brett at Larkin College
respectively.
